I think these look better than the red ones, so I did buy a whole bunch of them and put them on all my gear. Anchor Mount is the most low-profile, unobtrusive connection point available for Peak Design Anchors and standard camera straps. As you can see in the photos of this lovely leather strap above, the process is simple. You simply attach the links in the same way as you would normally attach that strap to a camera.

Slide New Colors
This is a great way to add the quick-release capability to an old strap, and get into the Anchor system without spending money on a brand new strap. Attach any standard camera neck strap or wrist strap. I ended up getting a matte black BlackRapid FastenR anchor on the bottom, put my wrist strap on that, and now if I ever want, I can quickly snap on a neck strap. I used to have a wrist strap which was simple and effective (approx 10 pounds) but indeed had the issue of not being a neck strap when needed.

Leash has incredible versatility, and more importantly, zero slop. The Peak Design anchor mount is lower profile, rests flat on table surface, is less expensive and has two attachment points. I have since learned to wrap a standard strap around my wrist.
Mobile Tripod
The way I handle it is that I keep rope-style straps on my cameras because they are lightweight, comfortable and can change instantly from wrist to neck straps. When I want a wrist-style (short) strap, I tie a knot in the strap and effectively make it a wrist strap. When I want it over a shoulder, or around the neck, I untie the knot. Otherwise connect your wrist strap to your camera using a tripod socket connector so you can install, and remove, it quickly. Anchor connectors have been updated to be smaller, faster, and more secure. I want to be able to swap a wrist strap out quickly for a neck strap. I was thinking of getting the Peak Design anchor and attaching it to one lug, and then having the neck strap both connected to one lug somehow. Then I could swap the neck strap out for the wrist strap very quickly. I don't, however, love how the peak design anchors look, and I'm not sure if I can attach two straps to one anchor.
Peak Design Anchor Links and Anchor Connectors are an integral part of the company’s camera strap range. The lightweight thermoplastic-overmolded Anchor disks are smaller than a penny and will never scratch your camera body. They're tiny in comparison to other strap quick-connection systems that use nylon buckles. Low-profile aluminum/Hypalon quick adjustment system with dual adjusters. I use one that came with the PD Leash for use with my SL2 and zoom…attach strap to bottom mount and one lug.
If I need a shoulder strap, I can quickly attach my favourite Slite Lite strap. If I just need a low-profile hand strap, I can add the Cuff or the Clutch in just a few seconds. The Peak Design Anchor connector has a clever tapered design that allows it to slide easily into the spring-loaded receiver on the end of one of its camera straps.
In other words, it's all the strap you need, and nothing you don't. That’s why I use the tripod socket mount as it is much sturdier than a single camera lug. What I don’t do is stick the camera in a bag where I can’t immediately access it as with a neck strap. For years people have been asking to have these anchors available in black. Now you can buy a 4-pack of black anchors if you want to keep your camera looking stealthy.
